Tower and wall

Moundsville, West Virginia

I like this view because it shows the difference between the front wall and the side one. I don't know the steps of expansion that the prison undertook, but it appears the corner is joined by walls that were built at different times. The lookout towers were fascinating to me, I'd pay money just to go up in them. When I was growing up, the federal prison had really tall towers where a fellow would sit in a captains chair and watch the yard. I always thought that would be a great job.
