Rose

Flatwoods, Kentucky After not seeing much of the daylight for the last week, I took a stroll with the 50mm f1.4 lens. My parents love their roses and awhile back they asked me to take some pictures. This attempt was to capture the rose in a manner that would make it 'pop' out from the background, while showing enough of the background pattern to be interesting. Here is an alternate picture with the lens opened up quite a lot: Rose, shallow depth of field. Around here, this rose is also called a 'coat of many colors'. Any comments are appreciated.
